It is important to contact the proper authorities in the event of

any death.

When the temple is notified, your minister will make arrangements
|
to come to conduct the Makuragyo
service. The
Makuragyo
service is a brief service conducted immediately after death or at a later time to be arranged with the family.

When contacting the minister, be sure to give clearly your name
|
and the name of the deceased person.
|
c.
|
Give the exact location of the place of death (either the home or
|
the hospital).
|
d.
|
Give good and accurate directions, or arrange to meet the minister
and direct him to the location.
|
|
e.
|
The minister will offer information, advice and suggestions con-
|
cerning necessary procedures and arrangements.
|
f.
|
If the minister cannot be reached, contact the temple president or
the temple funeral committee chairperson.

CONTACT A FUNERAL HOME
|
|

Select a reliable and reputable funeral home. Your doctor, minister
or temple may assist you in contacting a funeral home.
