The following is a brief description of Yuki Miyake's contribution to the Seattle Buddhist Temple over the years.  In 1976, Yuki was awarded the Kyogoku Award for her contribution toward the propagation of Buddhism.  In many ways, Yuki is an example to us all of what it means to be living the Dharma.

The Reverend Kyogoku Award judges met Saturday night, March 27, 1976 during the WYBL Conference at Asilomar and selected Mrs. Yuki Miyake as the 1975 recipient of the coveted award for the outstanding Sunday School Teacher. She is certainly deserving of this great honor and we offer our heartiest congratulations!

Thank you and other members of your church for the letters of recom- mendations. We are glad that efforts were made on her behalf in recognizing her contribution toward the propagation of Buddhism.

We hope you will be able to make the presentation to Mrs. Miyake at an appropriate time. The plaque and gift certificate will be sent to you shortly.
